I have been working in educational psychology in public and private practice for nearly 20 years and have considerable experience in a very wide range of disabilities and specific learning difficulties.  I have worked with children, young people and adults of all abilities throughout my career.

Following my undergraduate studies at the University of Warwick, I completed my postgraduate studies at Sussex and Swansea Universities.  Prior to qualifying as a psychologist I was employed as a teacher at Chailey Heritage Hospital School.  Following this I was a teacher in a Local Authority special school which culminated in a period as a Teacher-in-Charge of a special unit for youngsters with Autism.

Since qualifying as a psychologist in 1990, I have held both Local Authority posts as an Educational Psychologist as well as clinical posts, and was for some years Principal Psychologist for People with Learning Disabilities for South Downs NHS Trust.

In addition to my employment in mainstream services, I have also been in practice as an independent Educational Psychologist since 1992, providing services to children and families, students in Higher Education as well as independent sector secondary and special schools.

Currently, I am in independent practice based in Cornwall.  I provide services across the South West  and work as far afield as Bristol for Dyslexia Action on a regular basis.

Please see My Services for more information about how I work with psychological assessment and areas in which they can help.

Please contact me for an informal discussion and further details.
